The COVID-19 virus has been running rampant through Oregon, the South Coast and the Bay Area. Coos Health and Wellness is now reporting four new deaths bringing Coos County’s total so far to 54. Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, BAH has opened a drive-up testing location at the hospital off Thompson Rd. in Coos Bay. The first day was Monday and 50 individuals showed up for testing. The popup tent near the West Entrance is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. An additional option is Thursdays, from noon to 6:30 p.m.
