The Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division in Albany is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for the unlawful killing of a spike elk that was discovered off of Soda Fork Road near Harter Mountain in Linn County. On Saturday, November 25th, 2017, Oregon State Police responded to the area and located a spike elk that was shot with a rifle and the meat was taken. The elk appeared to have been shot the day prior. A reward is being offered by the Oregon Hunters Association through the Turn-in-Poachers (TIP) program for any information leading to an arrest in this or any other wildlife case.
