Flu Bites Report for Week 48, November 26-December 2, 2017; Summary: During Week 48, 1.6% of all emergency department visits in Oregon were due to influenza-like illness (ILI). Among Oregon labs participating in the National Respiratory and Enteric Virus Surveillance System (NREVSS), 11.4% of specimens tested were positive for influenza. 25 influenza-related hospitalizations were reported during Week 48 for the Portland tri-county metropolitan area. 2 ILI/influenza-related outbreaks were reported.
