Info session scheduled for Sept. 19 for Oregon Conservation and Recreation Fund grant applications, Sept. 19

SALEM, Ore. – The Oregon Conservation and Recreation Fund will hold an online informational webinar on Sept. 19 at 1 p.m., to answer OCRF grant application questions. The OCRF grant application period opened on Aug. 12 and will close on Oct. 7, 2022. Interested applicants should visit ODFW’s website for remote connection information and other grant materials as well as a video of the first OCRF info session: https://www.dfw.state.or.us/conservationstrategy/OCRF/grants.asp OCRF has supported 90 projects since forming in early 2020 focused on increasing outdoor access, equity, and conservation. The maximum allowable grant request for the remaining 2021-2023 biennium will be $50,000 per project application. Any public or private nonprofit organization may request funds and must have a tax-exempt status under the IRS Code Section 501(c)(3). The Oregon Conservation and Recreation Fund (OCRF) is a public-private partnership that supports projects to implement the Oregon Conservation Strategy and connect people with the outdoors. The Advisory Committee provides recommendations on expenditures from the OCRF to the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission. More information on the OCRF can be found at OregonIsAlive.org.
