An unidentified female was found unresponsive in her Coos Co. Jail cell this morning in Coquille. According to a news release from District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, the female was at 5:48 a.m. and emergency aid was immediately administered. Medical personnel declared her deceased at 6:08 a.m. “At this time there is no indication of foul play as to her death.” Frasier says he has asked the Oregon State Police to investigate. Her name is not being released pending notification of next of kin. An autopsy has been ordered.
