Job Vacancies in Southwest Oregon, March 25

“More than 180 occupations in Southwest Oregon had vacancies in 2013.” That’s according to a report from the Oregon Employment Department’s Job Vacancy Survey. Southwest Oregon includes Coos, Curry, Jackson, Josephine, and Douglas counties. Seven occupations had more than 100 vacancies each: personal care aides, maids and housekeeping cleaners, heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers, firefighters, registered nurses, material-movers laborers and helpers, and customer service representatives. “The average hourly wage offered for all job vacancies in Southwest Oregon was $14.42 in 2013.”
