Join us in person for the unveiling of the Equal Justice Initiative’s Historical Marker for Alonzo Tucker at the Coos History Museum, June 16

CHM release – COOS BAY, OR: The Coos History Museum, together with the Alonzo Tucker Task Force Committee and the Oregon Remembrance Project, would like to invite the public to attend the unveiling of the Historical Marker for Alonzo Tucker in person on Saturday, June 19, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. The unveiling will acknowledge the lynching of Alonzo Tucker in Coos Bay, Oregon and discuss lynching throughout United States history. The historical marker is being placed at the front of the Coos History Museum for all to access. All visitors are expected to follow CDC and Oregon State Covid-19 guidelines so that we can continue to keep each other safe.
