News release CBPD. Over the next few days expect to see many police K-9 vehicles from all over the state. Today started a three day annual fall conference for the Oregon Police Canine Association (OPCA), which is being hosted by Coos Bay Police Department and Coquille Tribal Police Department. The two agencies along with the help of North Bend Police Department and Coos County Sheriff’s office have helped secured various training sights through-out Coos County. In addition many local businesses and citizens have contributed through donations and generous support. Over 163 dog teams from throughout the entire state of Oregon will be in our area. The last time the Coos Bay area hosted the OPCA was in 2008 for their annual spring seminar.
