Lakeside Assault, May 16

News release CCSO.  On May 12, 2017, at about 2049 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to 97788 North Lake Road in Lakeside. Elizabeth Moule called 911 to report her husband had a head injury. Elizabeth was unable to explain to the dispatchers how the injury occurred. Deputies arrived and spoke with Elizabeth, who appeared under the influence of narcotics. Elizabeth tried telling deputies her husband, Robert Moule, had hurt himself. Deputies spoke with Robert about the incident. Robert said he asked Elizabeth about his chainsaw and what she did with it. Robert told deputies Elizabeth told him she pawned it and when he asked her to provide the pawn slip she “flipped” out on him. Robert said at the time he was bent over and starting a fire in the wood stove. Robert told deputies Elizabeth struck him three times in the head with a bamboo stick. Deputies observed several lacerations and blood on Robert’s head, as well as scratches on his face. Robert was treated at the scene by Lakeside Fire Department and Lower Umpqua Ambulance, but refused transport to the hospital. Deputies located the bamboo stick, which was about three feet in length and had fresh blood on the end of it. Deputies confronted Elizabeth with this information and she still denied doing anything to Robert. Elizabeth, 42 years old of Lakeside, was arrested for the about listed charges and transported to the Coos County Jail. Elizabeth was booked and lodged on $275,000.00 Bail. Mr. Moule was treated at the scene.
