Lakeside, the small water vacation community in northern Coos County is the latest to join the growing list of Coastal Communities pulling the “Welcome Mat” due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The City Council, working with local health officials drafted a Memorandum of Understanding regulating temporary visitors in the community. City officials met with the owners of RV parks, vacation rentals and motels in the area to draft the plan. The Memorandum is in effect through the month of April, but can be extended if necessary.
