The City of Coos Bay has contracted with Upper Rouge Excavation to repair a storm drain along Commercial Avenue at N. 3rd Street. In order to do the repair, the two lanes along Commercial Avenue will be reduced to one lane and the Alley (N. 3rd Street) between N. 4th and N. 2nd Street between Commercial and Market Avenue will be closed starting Tuesday, October 13th. It is anticipated that the lane and road closures will remain in effect for two weeks, Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm. There will be no on street parking in this portion of Commercial Avenue. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to please exercise caution within the construction zone. The contractor will work with the affected business owners as needed.
