News release from the South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team (SCINT) Coquille, Oregon on June 25th, Charles Codi Lenhart was sentenced to 90 months in prison after pleading guilty to Robbery in the First Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, Robbery in the Third Degree and Criminal Forfeiture. Co-defendant Jessica Toepfer was sentenced earlier this week. On April 16th, 2015 Coos County Sheriffs Office Deputies were dispatched to Frontage Road in Myrtle Point Oregon for a report of a fight involving a firearm. Close to midnight, Lenhart, Toepfer and Trisha Littles arrived at the victim’s home. The victim was called out of the home and upon exiting the residence an argument ensued. During the melee Lenhart took a shooting stance, it was believed a gun was drawn, and witnesses reported hearing what sounded like the click of a handgun as they ran into the house. Lenhart and Toepfer were observed extracting property from the victim’s vehicle through a broken window. Another resident of the home attempted to render aid, but in the process Toepfer began to strike the victim about the head. The three defendants fled the scene in Lenhart’s green 1996 Chevy Tahoe and were apprehended by Myrtle Point Police Department. Coos County Deputies arrived at the stop to continue their investigation. No firearm was located in the stopped vehicle, but outside the vehicle a set of digital scales was located. At the original crime scene, deputies located a unspent 40 caliber bullet in the victim’s driveway. Additionally, a dagger with a swastika was located and believed to have caused some of the property damage. Deputy Sanborn continued the investigation assisted by SCINT detectives. In addition to the scale a further search of the threesomes property revealed methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia. Communications were located in which it was learned the defendant’s were attempting to collect a debt. A Coos County Grand Jury charged Lenhart with three counts of Robbery in the First Degree, three counts of Robbery in the Second Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, two Counts of Robbery in the Third Degree, and Criminal Forfeiture. Lenhart pleaded guilty to the Measure 11 crime of Robbery in the First Degree, Robbery in the Third Degree, Criminal Mischief, and the Criminal Forfeiture. Lenhart was sentenced to seventy days on the criminal mischief charge with credit for time served. Pursuant to the Measure 11 Oregon Sentencing Guidelines, Lenhart was sentenced to a total of ninety months in prison followed by thirty-six months post-prison supervision on the Robbery in the First Degree and twelve months on the Robbery in the Third Degree to run concurrent with the top charge, Robbery in the First Degree.
