Les Schwab Tourney
Coquille’s boys and girls basketball teams swept the 2016 Les Schwab Tires South Coast Holiday Basketball Tournament at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay Saturday evening. The Red Devil girls won their title over defending tourney champion Sutherlin 49-37, while the boys got theirs with a 50-42 win over host Marshfield. The Lady Pirates lost the third place trophy game to Madras 43-38, while North Bend’s girls were seventh after downing North Valley 51-32. The Bulldog boys were third with a 33-27 win over Junction City.
