News release City of North Bend. The Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board will construct a new water service on Sherman Avenue, South of the Washington Avenue intersection in North Bend on Monday, May 22, 2017. For safety reasons Sherman Avenue southbound between Washington Avenue and Vermont Avenue will be closed during the project as crews install the new water service across Sherman Avenue. The Water Board requests that citizens use the signed detour route or alternate routes during this project to promote safety and avoid travel delays.
