One last item of interest for those who would like to learn more or to be part of brainstorming solutions to many of the challenges facing our community, such as crime and garbage accumulation, or even the housing and homeless crisis, please consider becoming a member of the Livability Committee. This new Committee was discussed at our last City Council work session on January 23, 2024. City Councilors Drew Farmer, Stephanie Kilmer, and Sara Stephens have agreed to lead this new community group which is intended to be filled by members of the community. The first meeting of the Livability Committee will be on February 22, 2024, at 12 p.m. and held in Coos Bay City Hall Council Chambers.
