Lockout at Blossom Gulch, March 14

News release, Monday, March 13.  At the recommendation of Coos Bay Police, Blossom Gulch Elementary School went into lockout for a short time this morning. This was as a precaution based on an incident the police department was investigating near the school, and no students were exposed to danger. Students remained in the building, doing their normal education activities. All exterior doors were locked. Students were kept inside where they were safe. Thank you everyone for your quick and calm response, especially the Blossom Gulch staff and Coos Bay Police Department for joining with us in making the safety of our students the top priority.
