Oh boy! The Cascadia Subduction Zone was active overnight. Big quakes, most off Canada, but still on the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. First of all, there was a smaller 2.7-magnitude quake at Cape Mendocino early Monday morning, Oct. 22. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, it was located southeast of Pine Hills, CA. There was also a 3.2-magnitude quake west to northwest of Bandon, and then it really took off to the north. Here’s the list off Vancouver Island, of southwest of Port Hardy, Canada: 4.4; 2.7; 4.3; 4.9; 6.5; 6.8, & 6.6. No reports of tsunami waves.
