The Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office received four reports of mail theft from mail boxes along Olive Barber Road Saturday, April 26. More mail problems were reported in Coos Bay. An entry on the CBPD log for Saturday, April 26, 5:49 a.m., No. 8th St., off Central Ave., “appears mailbox at residence behind Central McKay’s has been opened, mail gone through and some of it opened.” Seven victims were identified. At 8:47 a.m., 470 W. Golden Ave., US Post Office, 73-year old male reported “large amount of mail sitting out front in the parking lot.”
