Marshfield’s basketball teams were eliminated from the 2019 OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 4A Basketball Tournament in Forest Grove on Friday, the day after both Pirate teams were upset by lower ranked teams in the opening round. The girls lost for the second time this season to North Marion 49-46 Friday morning at Pacific University ending the Lady Pirates season with a 25-3 record. Marshfield’s boys lost to Marist Catholic of Eugene 49-41 at Forest Grove High School. It was the fourth meeting between the two District 4 co-champions with each winning two against the other. The Pirates season ends with a 21-7 record.
