Girl’s Tennis vs. MHS at 3:30 p.m., at NBHS. JV Track at Douglas in Winston, 4 p.m. Varsity baseball and JV softball at Siuslaw in Florence, 5 p.m. Varsity Softball and JV Baseball at home to Siuslaw, 5 p.m.

The Marshfield Pirate girls’ tennis team lost to Grants Pass on Saturday 2-6 at Grants Pass High School. The two wins came in at number 1 and 2 singles with Katie Boesl and Colleen Rayburn winning their matches in two sets. Katie Boesl beat Natasha Matda 6-1, 6-2 and Colleen Rayburn remained undefeated on the season winning Olivia DeJanvier 6-1, 6-1. Lindsay Brown lost 3-6, 0-6 to Kelsey Lucido and Emily Sigloh split sets than lost in a third set that was shortened to a 10 super match breaker 4-10 due to rain. Marshfield lost their number all four doubles matches. With Desiree Guirado and Braeden Kennedy losing to a very good doubles team Mckenna Stephenson and Abi Johnson 0-6, 0-6. “Grants Pass’s number one doubles team was the best we have seen all season. “ Katrina Garcia and Sierra Banks lost 4-6, 0-6 to Grace Connelly and Kayna Nicolas. Dadison Brugnoli and Elizabeth Rayburn lost 3-6, 2-6 to Natalie LeMoss and PJ Blakely and Patrizia Cugentto and Shasta Banks lost 1-6, 0-6 To Gretchen Berkly and Jasmine Navarro.
