Booster Clubs
The Marshfield and North Bend booster clubs meet today at noon. The Bulldogs will gather at the high school’s Hall of Champions, and the Pirates meet at Abby’s Pizza in Coos Bay. Both luncheons are open to anyone interested in Bay Area high school sports.

Marshfield’s boys and girls swept a Far West League three-way JV track meet at Siuslaw High School in Florence Tuesday. The Pirate boys won with 105 points, North Bend was second with 83, and Siuslaw third with 51. Marshfield won the girl’s portion with 106.5 points, North Bend second with 76 and Siuslaw third with 56.5. Individually, Marshfield’s Madelyn Metzler reset her won 100-meter track record with a 12.59 clocking, second best in 4A. The Lady Pirates Savannah Thurman won two events, the Shot Put (30-09) and the Javelin (101-06). North Bend’s McKenzie Gauntz won the Pole Vault (11-01), the best in 4A. On the boy’s side, the Pirates Hunter Drops won the 100 (11.84), 200 (24.43), Shot Put (40-00), and the Long Jump (20-09.25). Both North Bend and Marshfield compete in the Jim Robinson Invitational at Roseburg Saturday.
