Pirate sendoff
Marshfield’s boys’ basketball team will receive an escort out of town today. The Pirates are headed to the OSAA 4A State Basketball playoffs in Hillsboro Thursday through Saturday. The team will leave from Abby’s Pizza about 1 p.m. and head north on Hwy. 101. Marshfield plays Scappoose at 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
Booster Clubs
The Marshfield and North Bend high school Booster Clubs meet today at noon. The Bulldogs will gather at the high school’s Hall of Champions, while the Pirate supporters meet at Abby’s Pizza in Coos Bay. Coaches and student-athletes attend. Anyone interested in local high school sports is encouraged to attend.
