Marshfield & North Bend Sports, May 21

Booster Clubs
The North Bend and Marshfield booster clubs meet today at noon.  The North Bend backers gather at the high school’s Hall of Champions, where cost of lunch is $7, and the Marshfield supporters meet at Abby’s Pizza in Coos Bay.  Both meetings are open to those interested in supporting local athletics.

MHS Booster Club Allocations
The Marshfield Booster Club donated and allocated nearly $41,000 to athletic teams, clubs and organizations at the Coos Bay secondary school this year.  Club President Steven Schneiderman says they allocated $21,500 to 29 groups, and gave an extra $500 to the Natalie Hill Family Scholarship Fund.  The Club also purchased tables for the Library Cyber Hall, paid for a Rooter’s Bus to Sutherlin and paid out approximately $12,000 to the teams and clubs that helped at the concession stands throughout the year.  The Booster Club operates concessions for football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling and the county track meet.  In addition, the Boosters also run the annual Hall of Fame Banquet and Les Schwab Tires South Coast Holiday Basketball Tournament.
