Booster Clubs
The Marshfield Booster Club will meet today, noon, at Abby’s Pizza in Coos Bay. The luncheon meeting will feature Pirate coaches and student-athletes who will discuss their current sport seasons. The North Bend Booster Club meeting has been moved to Thursday this week, noon, high school Hall of Champions.

Unbeaten Marshfield swept visiting Brookings-Harbor 3-0 (25-4, 25-8, 25-12) in 4A Far West League volleyball Tuesday night in Coos Bay. The Lady Pirates (5-0, 13-2) finish the first half of league play unbeaten, while the Bruins (0-5, 0-11) are still looking for their first league win. Second place Siuslaw (4-1, 6-9) swept visiting South Umpqua (2-3, 6-6) 3-0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-14), and North Bend (1-4, 2-11) lost at third-place Douglas (3-2, 6-6) 3-2 (8-25, 25-23, 26-24, 24-26, 17-15).

North Bend’s boys beat visiting Douglas 12-0 in a prep soccer match at Vic Adams Field Tuesday. Marshfield’s boys beat visiting South Umpqua 10-0 at Pete Susick Stadium. In girls’ soccer, North Bend downed Douglas 10-0.
