Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Small Business Development Center (Southwestern SBDC) announced today that Mary Loiselle has accepted the position of Interim Small Business Development Center Director effective December 1, 2017. “I’m so glad to be able to serve the community I grew up in by helping businesses start, grow and thrive,” said Loiselle. “I look forward to continuing to help businesses, the college and the south coast as we search for our new SBDC Director.” An experienced small business owner, Loiselle ran a successful realty practice in Anaz, California. She has extensive experience as a business adviser, instructor and higher education administrator. Before moving back to the south coast, Loiselle was the system-wide Director of Facilities Management for Alliant International University’s seven California campuses. She joined the Southwestern SBDC in 2010 as a business adviser and instructor. She has taught the Center’s Small Business Management, starting a business, business ethics and business planning classes. “Mary has been an excellent resource for our clients, and I am confident that she will be a strong leader during this interim period,” said outgoing SBSDC Director Arlene Soto. “Our clients and business community will be in good hands.”
