News release CBPD. In May Coos Bay Police Officers arrested three drunk drivers. One arrest was made by officers working the DUII Grant. Funding to cover overtime expenses was provided by Oregon Impact, an organization committed to reducing the number of traffic fatalities on Oregon roads by funding saturation traffic enforcement operations and promoting driver education programs. The Coos Bay Police Department will continue with saturation traffic enforcement activities during the month of June. If you have or are planning to consume alcohol and or drugs, please don’t risk hurting yourself or someone else. Make a deliberate choice to keep our families and friends safe by calling a family member, a friend, or a cab for a ride home.
