USCG release – he Coast Guard medically evacuated an ill crewmember off a commercial fishing vessel 10 miles west of Brookings, Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 10. A boat crew aboard a 47-foot Motor Life Boat from Station Chetco River safely conducted the medevac of the 59-year-old chief engineer aboard the fishing vessel Alaska Ocean, and transported him to shore for further medical care.
