News release SCINT.  On Thursday December 29th 2016, SCINT Detectives initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle occupied by Cory Yockey and Deborah Rogers near milepost 70 on U.S. Highway 42. A Coquille Tribal Police drug detection canine alerted on the vehicle and the vehicle was searched.  About four pounds of methamphetamine, with a street value of more than $100,000.00, was located. Cory Yockey and Deborah Rogers were transported to the Douglas County Jail and lodged on charges of Delivery and Possession of methamphetamine.  SCINT Detectives were assisted by the Douglas County Interagency Narcotics Team, the Oregon State Police, the Winston Police Department and the Coquille Tribal Police Department. In the early morning hours of December 30th 2016, SCINT Detectives executed a search warrant on the residence of Cory Yockey and Deborah Rogers located at 1330 Neese Street, Coos Bay Oregon.  SCINT Detectives located a smaller quantity of methamphetamine, scales, packaging materials, a firearm, and more than $15,000.00 in cash. During the search, Detectives located explosive device components to include blasting caps, and mercury switches.   The Oregon State Police Bomb Disposal Unit responded and removed the explosive device components.  SCINT Detectives were assisted by the Coquille Tribal Police, the Coos Bay Police Department, the North Bend Police Department and the Coos County Sheriff’s Office. On January 5th 2017, SCINT Detectives returned to Cory Yockey and Deborah Rogers’ residence and served a second search warrant.  SCINT Detectives located more than $40,000.00 in cash which had likely been buried on the property, a firearm, as well a smaller quantity of methamphetamine.  SCINT Detectives were assisted by the Coos Bay Police Department  and the Coquille Tribal Police.
