A California man is in custody in the Douglas County Jail on drug charges following a traffic stop Tuesday night, June 12. Shortly after 9:00 pm, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2001 Audi after observing a traffic violation. Deputies observed evidence of delivery of controlled substances. Deputies requested the assistance of Reedsport Police Department’s drug detection K-9, JD. K-9 JD indicated to the presence of controlled substances. Subsequently 2.6 pounds of methamphetamine was located within the vehicle. The driver, 58 year-old Robert Paul Muniain of Oakdale, California, was taken into custody and lodged in the Douglas County Jail on the following charges: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine; Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine.
