On Thursday, October 12, 2017, 54 year-old Brett William Cashman of Roseburg was arrested on drug charges. At 1:13 am, a deputy observed a vehicle travelling northbound on Interstate 5. The deputy observed a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop. Cashman, the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, did not have a valid driver’s license. His driving privileges were suspended at a misdemeanor level. Cashman was taken into custody without incident. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, the deputy located approximately 3 ounces of methamphetamine and additional evidence indicating Cashman was involved in the delivery of Methamphetamine. Cashman was taken to the Douglas County Jail where he was lodged for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine and Driving While Suspended – Misdemeanor.
