Marshfield split its final regular season 4A District 4 doubleheader with visiting Elmira Tuesday night in Coos Bay to end the regular season.  The Pirates (5-10, 8-14) won the opener 10-0 as the only senior on the field for either team, Marshfield’s Cameron Olson, slid into home head first, from first to end the game in six innings.  The second game went the Falcon’s way 6-2 as Elmira (9-6, 15-8) tied Marist Catholic (9-6, 13-10) for second, but grabbed the No. 2 playoff spot by virtual of its sweep of the Spartans last Friday.  Junction City (13-2, 19-4) finished first.  Cottage Grove (8-7, 11-13) finished fourth, followed by the Pirates and Siuslaw/Mapleton (1-14, 2-20).
