Marshfield’s boys opened the 2017-18 prep basketball season Saturday afternoon in Coos Bay with a 64-48 win over visiting Cottage Grove. The Pirates were led by junior Grant Webster’s 21-points, Jordy Miles had 16 and Corey Stove scored 15. Marshfield’s JV team also won, 54-45. The Pirates (1-0) host 6A North Medford (2-1) Tuesday night.
