Marshfield’s basketball teams will play in the 4A District 4 League playoffs with the Lady Pirates (4-6, 9-15) taking on the Junction City Tigers (7-3, 13-11) Friday, 5:45 p.m., at JC. It will be the fourth meeting between the two prep teams. The Tigers won the previous games. The winner will travel to Marist Catholic (8-2, 13-8) in Eugene Saturday to determine the league’s No. 2 team behind District champion Cottage Grove (9-1, 18-6). Marshfield’s boys (6-4, 15-8) will await the winner of the Siuslaw (5-5, 11-13) at JC boy’s (6-4, 15-10) playoff game scheduled for Friday night, following the girl’s playoff game. The Pirate boys will play the winner on Monday, 6 p.m., Coos Bay to determine No. 2 behind league champ Marist Catholic (10-0, 20-3). Both MHS playoff games will be aired on FM 105.1 (streamed on www.kmhsonline.com ).
