Marshfield’s boys won, but the Pirate girls fell at Newport on Tuesday night in non-conference basketball games. The girls lost 32-20 but the boys beat the Cubs 68-53. Marshfield’s teams next compete in a 4A Crossover Tournament with the Skyline Conference. The girls (3-8) will play Klamath Union at Phoenix and the boys (7-3) take on Henley at Marshfield Friday.
