Junction City’s boys finished the first-half of the District 4 prep basketball season with a 67-48 win over visiting Marshfield Thursday night. In other games, Marist Catholic won at Elmira 56-26, and Siuslaw won at Cottage Grove 53-46. Marshfield, Siuslaw and Marist Catholic are tied for second each with a 3-2 record. The second-half begins Saturday with Marshfield (3-2, 4-3) at Cottage Grove. The Marshfield vs. Junction City girl’s game did not take place due to a case of COVID-19 on the JC team. The game has tentatively been re-scheduled for Sunday, June 13 at Junction City. The rest of the league played with first-place Cottage Grove downing visiting Siuslaw 55-20 and second-place Marist Catholic winning at Elmira 57-8.
