Marshfield’s girls opened the 2017/18 prep basketball season with a 57-42 win at Newport Friday night. Junior Hayley Browning led the Lady Pirates with 19-points. Marshfield improved to 2-0 Saturday night with a 70-32 win at Philomath. The Lady Pirates will host Cottage Grove Tuesday in their home opener.
