Marshfield’s girls lost their second game of the season Saturday night at North Valley High School north of Grants Pass to Hidden Valley. It was the second week in-a-row that the two top-ranked 4A teams met in Southern Oregon. No. 1 Marshfield won the first game 50-40 at Hidden Valley, but the No. 2 Mustangs returned the favor with a 42-32 win in the final game of the 2017 SkyWest Crossover Basketball Challenge. The Lady Pirates won Friday night 51-36 over Mazama. Marshfield (12-2) opens Far West League play at Siuslaw (3-10) Friday in Florence.
