Booster Clubs
The Marshfield and North Bend booster clubs both meet at noon today. The Bulldogs will gather in the high school’s Hall of Champions, while the Pirate supporters meet at Abby’s Pizza in Coos Bay. Both meetings are open to those who support Bay Area prep sports.

Parents, Coaches and Support Staff: We will host the Marshfield Football Banquet in the Cafeteria on Wednesday December 9th from 6:00-7:00 pm. All programs will be together starting with the freshmen.
Basketball Officials Sought
The Southwestern Oregon Basketball Officials Association is seeking new members. Basketball officials work games from Brookings to Reedsport. The next meeting of the officials is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 6:30 p.m. at Pirate Hall on the Marshfield campus. For more information, contact Bob Fields at 541-260-9309.

Marshfield’s varsity basketball teams won their 2015-16 home openers Tuesday night in the Pirate Palace at Coos Bay against visiting Cottage Grove. Both teams improve to 2-0. The Lady Pirates beat the Lions 58-28, while the Pirate boys won 62-43. Marshfield’s boys had nine-players in the scoring book, led by Jake Miles and Kasey Banks with 14-each. They were followed by: Rylee Trendell 10, Justin Cooper 8, Bo James Weatherston 6, Scott Clough 4, Vincent Tine 2, Ian Emlet 2, Malio Favalora 2. The Lady Pirates got 11-points from junior Kelsey Jackson and nine from senior Hope Lott. Freshman Tess Garrett had four-points, but the point guard also came up with nine-steals, eight-assists and four-rebounds. Marisssa Erickson and Alex Locati each scored eight. The MHS girl’s JV team won 30-22 over Cottage Grove. The two Pirate teams host Valley Catholic on Friday and then play at Philomath on Saturday.
