Booster Clubs
The Marshfield and North Bend booster clubs meet today at noon. The Bulldogs will meet in the high school’s Hall of Champions, while the Pirates gather at Abby’s Pizza in Coos Bay. Both meetings/luncheons are open to those who support local prep sports.

North Bend moved into a tie for second place in the 4A Far West League boys’ basketball race with a 36-24 win at home Tuesday night over visiting South Umpqua. The Bulldogs are now tied with the Lancers, two games behind unbeaten Marshfield. The top-ranked Pirates downed Siuslaw 48-36 in Coos Bay, while Douglas won at home over Brookings-Harbor 60-57. With three games to go in the regular season, North Bend (5-2, 7-10) visits Marshfield (7-0, 19-2) Friday night, Douglas (1-6, 7-13) plays at South Umpqua (5-2, 12-9) and Brookings-Harbor (2-5, 6-14) visits Siuslaw (1-6, 1-18).

With three-games to go in the 4A Far West League girls’ basketball regular season, No. 3 Brookings-Harbor survived a four-point win at Douglas, 56-52, Tuesday night. Marshfield is in second place after downing visiting Siuslaw 43-28 in Coos Bay, and North Bend took over third place with a 68-16 win at home over South Umpqua. On Friday, Brookings-Harbor (7-0, 17-4) travels to Siuslaw (1-6, 5-14) in Florence, North Bend (4-3, 12-6) visits Marshfield (4-3, 12-6) and Douglas (3-4, 11-8) is at South Umpqua (1-6, 2-18).
