Booster Clubs
The Marshfield and North Bend booster clubs meet today at noon. The Pirates will meet at Abby’s Pizza, while the Bulldogs gather at the high school’s Hall of Champions.

The North Bend High School cheerleaders placed third at a Cheer Competition Invitational at Churchill High School in Eugene Saturday.

Marshfield, Brookings-Harbor and South Umpqua all came away with wins in round two of ten in the 4A Far West League boys’ basketball race Tuesday night. The top-ranked Pirates beat Siuslaw 53-43 in Florence, while the other two winners won at home. South Umpqua beat North Bend 52-49, and Brookings-Harbor downed Douglas 57-56. Round three on Friday has Marshfield (2-0, 14-2) at North Bend (1-1, 3-9), So. Umpqua (2-0, 8-7) at Douglas (0-2, 5-9) and Siuslaw (0-2, 0-13) goes to Brookings-Harbor (1-1, 5-10).

Brookings-Harbor, Marshfield and North Bend won 4A Far West League girls’ basketball games Tuesday night. The Bruins were the only home team winner, downing visiting Douglas 48-35. Marshfield won at Siuslaw in Florence 55-26 and North Bend beat South Umpqua 71-22 in Tri-City. Round three on Friday has Marshfield (1-1, 10-6) at North Bend (1-1, 9-4), Siuslaw (1-1, 4-9) at Brookings-Harbor (2-0, 12-4) and South Umpqua (0-1, 1-13) visits Douglas (1-1, 9-5).
