Visiting Marshfield downed Siuslaw 3-1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-13, 25-17) in a 4A Far West League volleyball match at Florence Thursday. Seniors Hailee Woolsey and McKenzie Allison had 22 & 12 kills respectively, while junior setter Shaylynn Jensen recorded 36 assists. The Lady Pirates improve to 2-0 in the FWL and 11-0 overall. Siuslaw falls to 1-1, 4-2.

North Bend fell 3-2 (22-25, 25-17, 23-24, 25-19, 18-16) at South Umpqua (1-1, 2-4) in a 4A Far West League volleyball match at Tri City Thursday night. The Bulldogs are 1-1 in league and 2-4 overall. Also in FWL play, Douglas (1-1, 2-3) swept at Brookings-Harbor 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-9). The Bruins drop to 0-2 & 0-9.

North Bend won at Douglas 14-0 in 4A-3 boy’s soccer action at Winston Thursday. North Bend’s girls beat the Trojans 12-0.
