Marshfield’s softball team opened the Battle at the Beach Tournament in Newport Monday with a 10-9 win over Harrisburg. But the Lady Pirates lost 12-1 to the host team Newport, in the second game. Marshfield (2-3) plays Mac-Hi at 9 a.m. Tuesday, and Harrisburg again at 5 p.m.
