Marshfield’s boys opened the 2019 prep soccer season with a 5-1 win over visiting Tillamook Saturday Pete Susick Stadium in Coos Bay. The Pirates (1-0) host North Bend in a Bay Area Rivalry match Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. Marshfield’s girls opened the season on the road and fell 9-0 at Tillamook on Saturday. The Lady Pirates (0-1) are at Brookings-Harbor Sept. 3.
