The Marshfield Speech and Debate team traveled to Silverton High School for the Fox Invitational Tournament on November 7. There were 32 schools with 550 competitors attending. Marshfield placed 6th in the tournament overall. The top 5 schools are classified as 6A/5A in the OSAA classification which means that Marshfield placed 1st in 4A. We are extremely proud of our team! Finalists: 4th Place (out of 52 competitors) in Open Radio with “Colony Collapse Disorder”- Arianna Herrera; 4th Place (out of 21 competitors) in Open Expository with “Bored of Games”- Quinn Earle; 4th Place (out of 21 competitors) in Open Dramatic Interpretation with “XOXO”- Mason Blohm; 4th Place (out of 24 competitors) in Open After Dinner Speaking with “Being Famous”- Nathan Blanchard; 4th Place (out of 39 competitors) in Open Poetry with “Violence”- Fatima Ruiz.
