Under the light over the single wrestling mat inside the Pirate Palace two of the top 4A wrestling teams in the state faced off in a dual match Thursday night. Defending state champion Crook County, of Prineville, bettered last year’s runners-up, Marshfield 33-29. The Pirates won eight of the 14 weight classes, but the Cowboys scored five pins to Marshfield’s one. Both teams compete in the North Bend Coast Classic beginning today.
