Marshfield’s cross country teams ran Friday at the Meriwether National Cross Country Classic at Hillsboro.  The Pirate boys (501) were 16th out of 41 teams.  Sunset (82) took first, while Marist Catholic (195) was fifth.  Ahmed Ibrahim, out of Parkrose, won in 15:24.3.  Marshfield’s top runner was senior Chandler Pruett 81st (17:19.4).  He was followed by Gabe Delgado, 85, 17:24.7; 107, Kyran Erwin 17:38.4; 109 Jonathon Sampier 17:38.7; 159 Aaron Prince 18:11.5; 193 Robert Kliewer 18:36.0; 202 Colton West 18:39.9; 251 Jacob Calvert 19:40.8.  Marshfield’s girls were 28th out of 32 teams.  The Lady Pirates scored 823-points, while Jesuit won with 64.  Marist Catholic placed 7th (283).  Individually:  Lucy Huelskamp, Sunset, won in 18:05.0.  For MHS:  142 Emily Kruse 22:26.9; 187 Bailey Wallack 23:50.3; 191 Jordan Baarstad 23:55.1; 201 Sydney Trendell 24:18.6; 229 Kensey Harlow 26:44.7; 237 Daisy Thompson 28:39.5.  Marshfield will next run in the Harrier Classic Oct. 6, at Bryant Park, Albany.
