Missing Boy found safe on Central Coast, Nov. 10

The Newport Police Department (NPD) has reported 10 year-old ANTHONY McCORKLE who went missing from his residence at 265 NE 36th, #4, in Newport at about 4:00 P.M. yesterday, Saturday, Nov. 8, has been found safe. No other information was available. The following is the first news release. The Newport Police Department (NPD) and Oregon State Police (OSP) are requesting your help locating 10 year-old ANTHONY McCORKLE who went missing from his residence at 265 NE 36th, #4, in Newport at about 4:00 P.M. Anthony’s parents described him as wearing shorts (with shark printing on them), an unknown color T-shirt and blue shoes, 4’6″ tall and of a thin build. He wears glasses and has a large, red birthmark above his left eye. Anthony is known to walk in the area of Wal-Mart, Fred Meyer and Safeway in Newport. Anyone with information about or who has seen Anthony is asked to contact WVCC at (541) 265-4231. Further questions may be directed there as well. Newport PD is the lead investigative agency. Search and Rescue has been activated in the area as well.
