The body of a missing fisherman from the Central Coast has been found floating in Yaquina Bay at Newport. Norman Grant, a crew member on the commercial fishing vessel “Prolifik” was reported missing Feb. 8. He was last seen near the boat’s moorage. A search, including divers, did not locate Grant. However, on Feb. 26, another fishing vessel reported hitting something near the Hallmark Fisheries Dock. A local diver found clothing tangled in the propeller. A further search led to the discovery of Grant’s body.
