The Oregon State Police (OSP) Roseburg Area Command is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person. On September 28, 2021, OSP Troopers responded to an abandoned green 2006 Nissan Altima on Interstate 5 near the 108 on-ramp. Troopers found that the Nissan was a hazard and towed the vehicle. On September 30, 2021, it was learned that the owner of the vehicle, Marco CURRIN (51) from Olympia, Washington, was reported as a missing person. Family from Newport Beach, California reported him missing to local authorities. OSP personnel contacted Newport Beach Police Department to let them know that CURRIN’s vehicle had been towed. At this time, OSP, is assisting Newport Beach Police Department in locating CURRIN. CURRIN is described being about 5’7” tall and weighing between 135-140lbs. He has reddish gray hair and wears a pair of round eye glasses.  OSP is requesting anyone that has information or has seen CURRIN to call 800-442-2068 or *OSP with information. Callers may refer to the OSP Case Number SP21-278115 when calling with information. Update: Thanks to the public’s assistance, OSP received information Marco CURRIN might be at the location in Roseburg. OSP went the location to hand out flyers and found him. Marco CURRIN was found safe and sound.
