News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 10 Feb, 2015 the Coos County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into a missing / runaway 15 year old female juvenile from the Coos Bay area. Over the course of a couple of weeks and numerous attempts to locate the girl, the investigation indicated Leonard Huckabee, age 46, was involved in a sexual relationship with the minor female. On 3 Mar, 2015 the minor female was located by authorities in the Charleston area. On 17 Mar, 2015 as a result of the investigation Leonard Huckabee was charged with Rape III, Sodomy III, Sex Abuse II and Custodial Interference. He was already held in custody for a parole violation and remains in the Coos County Jail.
